My wife recieved this for christmas and at first I was skeptical. Would this thing actually work. Well 2 bags of chocholate chips and a little oil (per instructions) and this thing was flowing forth in abundence of chocolate. This will be excellent for parties and holidays (such as today). Easy to use, several ideas in book, and reasonable clean up. Check this out, great value for around 25 bucks!!!

We received this fondue set as a gift last year and we love it. It's great for dinner parties and a lot of fun! The best thing about it is that it can do cheese, broth and/or chocolate, most pots are one or the other. Also, the sterno canisters can be bought at your local store, probably in some sort of camping or bbq aisle.

I bought this fondue pot a few months ago. It's very stylish and impresses our guests when we use it. However there are two things I don't like about it:
1. Because it's a fairly tall pot, sometimes we have to stand up to check on our food, or untangle our forks:)

2. Maybe it's because of the sterno cans we use, but we never get enough heat. We finally brought down and used three sterno cans at once and it worked great!

While the pot is tall, it is a nice feature if you are using oil as it protects from splatters. I do like that it comes with a lid and a bottom to protect your table. The glass insert for chocolate and cheese is nice also. Cleanup is a snap as we put everything in the dishwasher.

My two disappointments are minor. And maybe I'm just not using the right kind of heat source. Maybe I should try something else?

This is a very nice looking fondue set with two pots at a reasonable price - however, the offer is misleading - the product was offered with a Fondue cookbook as well as burner paste which is a great idea. Too bad the warehouse at Etronics that sends out the product is not aware of this special offer from Amazon; they do not store cookbooks and burner paste and these products do not come in the box. When I spoke with them they said they were not aware of this offer from Amazon. I accepted a refund of my shipping costs. Etronics were very customer friendly and responded promptly and courteously to my questions.

I love this fondue pot; I bought three, one in each color -very festive. I noticed that there have been some complaints about the fuel used, which is denatured alcohol; but you should have no problems finding this at your local hardware store, right next to the paint thinner.

Snip the top, knead, microwave a few times and there was a river of delicious chocolate to go with my brand new Wilton fountain. Though two packages are recommended, one went very far.

Purchsing two is perfect for a couple of reasons:
1. These fondu pots are small, so you need two to hold the chocolate that most fondue recipes make.
2. It is nice to have two, one at each end of the tale. This way, guests don't have to treach into the middle of the table to dip items.

We got this one as a replacement. It could be built better as the bottom part of fountain that attaches to the base is little shaky and cause the fountain to shake which prevents smooth flow of chocolate. But it is okay for the price.
